A Christian County man was arrested on several charges Monday, May 7th, in Taylor County after initially being pulled over for speeding. According to Kentucky State Police 21 year old Anshawn Francis of Hopkinsville was arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana, reckless driving, operating a vehicle on a suspended license, speeding and failure to wear a seatbelt. He was lodged in the Taylor County Jail. State Police say the arrest was made after Francis was observed operating a 2017 Chevrolet at a high rate of speed about 6 miles west of Campbellsville on Highway 210 in Taylor County. State police also say a quantity of marijuana, digital scales and a handgun were found inside the vehicle.
